Warehouse Shipping Teammate- South Austin

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday
? Plans and coordinates work, hires, trains, motivates, and monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse and receiving associates; develops supervisors to effectively oversee the daily responsibilities of their assigned team members.
? Drive warehouse processes and initiatives, proactively plans to avoid delays in the process, executing good documentation practices, and providing leadership and guidance for the warehouse team.
? Ensure materials are received, stored, delivered, and shipped in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.
? Support manufacturing operations with timely delivery of all required materials in adherence with the manufacturing schedule.
? Ability to work with small package carriers effectively as well at LTL/3PL, etc.
? Maintain professionalism at all times.
? Champion company policies and goals.
? Ability to delegate team tasks and creating a high morale team with the highest ethical standards.
? Responsible for maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policy.
? Liaise with procurement on incoming material needs and scheduling of deliveries.
? Train new employees or assign them to workers to be trained.
? Work in conjunction with Production personnel to maintain inventory control of finished goods for plant.
? Ensure proper supplies are kept for the facility while keeping costs to a minimum.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Associates Degree or 3-5 years of Logistics/Warehouse Supervisory experience
Leadership, communication, relationship and people management skills required
Minimum 3-5 years customer service and shipping/receiving related experience preferred.
Knowledge of the Manufacturing ERP systems preferred
Analytical and mathematical skills required
Reliable, organized and attentive to detail
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus
Moderate computer skills, including communicating internally and externally via email, performing some financial calculations and generating reports proficient at using business systems required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. On a consistent basis.
May need to be certified to operate a forklift and/or other mobile equipment
