Job Description
Transportation Compliance Assistant needed in Central San Antonio, TX. This individual will help to oversee the Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance for drivers, vehicles, and trailers. This role requires a blend of regulatory knowledge and accounting support skills to maintain our high standards of operational efficiency and safety. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Starting pay is $20 - $24 hourly DOE.
Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance with all DOT regulations, with a particular focus on ELD logs for drivers, ensuring both in-state and interstate compliance.

Assist with accounting functions, focusing on payables as needed.

Conduct regular audits of driver qualifications and training records to ensure compliance with CDL requirements.

Manage vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure all trucks are in top operating condition and meet safety standards.

Collaborate with the safety department to develop and implement driver safety programs and initiatives.

Maintain up-to-date records of transportation activities, including compliance documents, logs, and maintenance records.
Requirements:

Experience with ELD logs and DOT compliance regulations.

Background in accounting support, especially payables, is preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Strong analytical skills to interpret regulations and compliance requirements.
