Currently needing a Training & Development  Manager to work with a very prominent Transportation company in San Antonio, TX!

Duties and responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Design, Develop, Manage & update the recruitment and selection process
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Implementing and revising a company s compensation program
Creating and revising job descriptions
Conducting annual salary surveys
Developing, analyzing, and updating the company s salary budget
Defining, implementing, analyzing and updating the company s evaluation methods and programs.
Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
Vacation & Sick days control systems
Maintaining and revising the company s handbook on policies and procedures
Performing benefits administration
Maintaining affirmative action programs
Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads
Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
Statistical and economical analysis of turn over, cost per employee, new hires, demographics etc.
Overseeing exit interviews
Maintaining department records and reports
Participating in administrative staff meetings
Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures

o Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management
o Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Management with a concentration in HR
o Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in one of the following:
Human resources
Organizational behavior
Management and leadership
o Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive
o People oriented, and results driven
o Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
o Knowledge of HR systems and databases
o Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
o Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
o Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
o In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
Professional HR Certifications
Experienced within the Transportation/Logistics industry

Salary range of $60, 000 to $70, 000/year
