Supervising Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
L.K. Jordan and Associates is currently seeking an experienced Supervising Heavy Equipment Operator for a Texas-based environmental and industrial construction company. This role is hands-on and ideal for an operator who can also lead crews, maintain safety standards, and keep jobs moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes, dozers, track loaders, and off-road trucks

Lead and oversee a small crew on job sites while working alongside them

Complete and review daily equipment inspections and job logs

Enforce safety procedures and address unsafe conditions immediately

Participate in and help lead daily safety meetings
-
Coordinate work activities to meet job schedules and production goals

Assist with general labor duties when needed

Operate zero-turn commercial lawn mower as required

Work in confined spaces and on or near water
-
Perform work in all weather conditions, including heat
Requirements
-
Minimum 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience

Prior lead, foreman, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
-
Ability to lift 40+ lbs continuously

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-
Ability to wear an N95 face mask
-
Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check
-
Strong safety mindset and ability to direct others on-site
