Job Description
Title: Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Reporting to the Site Base Manager of the learning institution, the Early Childhood Substitute Teacher plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and development of infants and toddlers in our program. This position involves stepping in for regular staff members when they are absent, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and implementing educational activities aligned with the institution's curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain clear communication channels with supervisors, parents, and institution staff.

Prepare and utilize age-appropriate classroom materials to support child development.

Implement daily lesson plans both indoors and outdoors.

Document daily attendance, nutrition, and health observations in children's files.

Engage children in physical activities designed to enhance motor skills and coordination.

Ensure cleanliness and organization in the classroom, adhering to institution policies and procedures for safety.

Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in early childhood education.
Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Current CPR/First Aid certification and food handlers permit.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with institution standards and relevant regulations.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug tests, TB tests, and physical examinations.

Possession of a valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.

Able to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 25 lbs., reaching, stooping, walking, and managing objects with manual dexterity.

Pay is $13.42/hr
