Submerged Arc Welder – 2nd Shift
Job Description
LK Jordan is seeking an experienced Submerged Arc Welder to join a busy steel fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for consistent overtime, competitive pay, and long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality Submerged Arc Welding on structural steel and heavy plate
Set up and operate SubArc welding equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Weld large structural components while meeting production and quality standards
Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality
Safely operate material-handling equipment as needed
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
Previous Submerged Arc Welding experience required
Experience welding heavy plate or structural steel
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
Experience using measuring tools and performing quality inspections
Comfortable working in a fast-paced fabrication environment
Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
Must be available to work 60+ hours per week
Must be able to work the full 2nd-shift schedule
