LK Jordan is hiring 10 experienced Structural Welders for immediate Temp-to-Hire opportunities in Katy, TX!

Pay: $24.00–$32.00/hr. DOE and welding certifications
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary
The Structural Welder will perform MIG and Flux-Cored welding on carbon steel, steel, and stainless steel. This position requires an experienced welder who can work from prints and work orders, fabricate and repair equipment, and safely operate various welding and fabrication equipment in a shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Flux-Cored welding
- Weld carbon steel, steel, and stainless steel
- Read and follow instructions, prints, and work orders
- Plan welding procedures, tools, and material requirements
- Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, fitting, and welding various metals
- Repair equipment using appropriate welding techniques and equipment
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding
- Set up, assemble, fit, and tack-weld parts
- Build up worn or defective surfaces as required
- Operate burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut material to required size and shape
- Safely operate grinders and other fabrication equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience
- Strong MIG and Flux-Cored welding experience
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
- Familiarity with iron workers, plasma cutters, pipe threaders, and grinders
- Ability to read prints and work orders
- Welding certification preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to successfully complete required background check, physical, and drug screening
