Position Overview
LK Jordan is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Process and record received goods in inventory management systems.
- Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing orders according to company and customer requirements.
- Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with additional warehouse and logistics duties as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, instructions, and correspondence.
- Basic math skills and the ability to perform inventory-related calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and handling physical tasks.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
