Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Overview:
LK Jordan is looking for a reliable and detail-driven Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing the flow of materials, products, and supplies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company protocols. The ideal candidate will have a background in warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Prepare, package, and process outbound shipments with accuracy in labeling and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory in the system.
  • Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safe handling of materials.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Keep the workspace clean and organized while following all safety regulations.
  • Handle returns, damaged goods, and any shipment discrepancies as they arise.
  • Provide support for additional warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and shipping software.
  • Forklift operation experience (certification preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience handling electronic components and following ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety precautions.
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and required documentation.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
