Section 3 & Small Business Coordinator
Job Description
LK Jordan is seeking a Section 3 & Small Business Coordinator to help manage the Section 3 and Small Business programs and makes sure requirements are being met. This role works with different departments, contractors, residents, and community partners to create more job, contracting, training, and business opportunities for residents. The Coordinator also helps small, local, and disadvantaged businesses connect with the organization's contracting opportunities and provides guidance to contractors and staff on program requirements. Pay rate is $24.19 hourly!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day Section 3 and Small Business programs and be the go-to person for staff, contractors, residents, and community partners.

Help connect residents and businesses with job, contracting, training, and other economic opportunities.

Work with contractors and partners to explain Section 3 and Small Business requirements, compliance goals, and available resources.

Review contractor compliance plans and follow up on performance to make sure requirements and HUD regulations are being met.

Keep track of vendor compliance in Bonfire and make sure program records and documentation stay up to date.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, HUD, and other required reports.

Lead presentations, training, outreach, and provide support to contractors, residents, businesses, leadership, the Board of Commissioners, and community partners.

Represent the organization with SCTRCA and other government, community, and business organizations.

Build relationships with public- and private-sector organizations to create more employment, training, entrepreneurship, and business opportunities for residents.

Coordinate meetings, special projects, outreach, and training activities that promote Section 3 and Small Business participation.

Keep program resources and reference materials current, including Section 3, Small Business, HUD, procurement, and compliance information.
Experience & Education

Two (2) or more years of college or university coursework in Business Administration, Procurement, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. (An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in place of the education requirement.)

Four (4) years of experience in public procurement.

Ability to learn and use cloud-based tools, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Slides), and other online collaboration tools.

Comfortable with sharing documents, collaborating online, and managing electronic files.

Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based tools such as OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Equivalent Mac or PC applications are also acceptable.

Must successfully complete a criminal history background check, education and employment verification, and drug screening, as required.

Must have a valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
