Position Summary
This position is responsible for conducting visits to all NGL Supply terminals and facilities to perform safety audits, enforce legal regulations (DOT, OSHA, and EPA), develop new strategies promoting workplace and instruct supervisors and personnel on safety procedures. This position plays an integral part in implementing safety practices at the terminals & in the field.

General Duties and Responsibilities
Training
Conducts employee orientation and ongoing training.
Serves as advisor to Management in regards to compliance and safety, health and environmental questions and concerns.
Researches safety and environmental issues & materials and develops Power Point slideshow to present in safety meetings.
Train using the Smith System to all company employees who utilize company vehicles.
Be an integral part of creating new EHS policy and procedures and reviewing the current policy and procedures.

Inspections / Investigations
Makes regularly scheduled evaluations/inspections of all facilities and terminals to assist with correction of identified substandard issues.
Inspects new locations to determine safety and environmental concerns and advises management on corrective measures to be taken.
Investigates all incidents and gathers evidence used in hearings and insurance investigations.
Conducts regular inspection of terminal maintenance shops and all company facilities.
Responsible for the reporting of property damage, spills, injuries/illnesses, and environmental issues to regulatory agencies and senior management.
Serves as a liaison with local fire depts., area hospitals, and other outside agencies regarding all incidents.
Investigates incidents & injuries; submits required reports to the necessary personnel within the company.
Assist in the cleanup of all environmental releases.
Conducts thorough inspections of terminals, observations of personnel in the field & investigations of incidents, develops preventive safety procedures to the necessary personnel to become policy & plays an integral part in implementing them at the terminals & in the field.
Coordinate and perform IH work from time to time at the facilities.
Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must demonstrate knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of a PC and Windows applications.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.
Ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and customers.
Must be committed to working safely at all times.

Experience/Education:
High school diploma / GED is required some college coursework preferred.
Previous field experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety / regulatory compliance, is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in propane/butane terminals, is required.
A recognized certification in safety, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.
Requires a valid driver s license and no moving violations in the previous 5 years.

Travel:
Up to 70% travel required. Requires the ability to travel to field locations where
environment may vary significantly.

o Balance with equipment and while moving large and/or heavy objects;
o Use fingers and/or hands to handle and feel equipment;
o Reach with hands and arms above the head and to ground level;
o Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl or otherwise reach into confined spaces;
o Push and pull material and equipment from one place to another;
o Communicate with and exchange information verbally and in writing;
o Operate a motorized vehicle during the work shift;
o Move about in an office environment.
o Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
o Work requires physical efforts associated with using the computer and phones to access information.

medium-sized power tool use.

Occasionally exposed to non-toxic propane fumes or airborne particles.
Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals including crude oil.
