Job Description
Scope & Purpose
This job description applies to all quality control inspections and related activities performed by the QC Inspector. It will be reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with company standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies.
Perform quality control inspections on incoming, in-process, and outgoing components and parts.
Conduct Visual, Dimensional, Hardness, and NDE tests (LP/MP, UT preferred) per job router/traveler and company procedures, completing all required inspection reports.
Maintain the completeness and accuracy of quality records (Document Control).
Oversee the routine maintenance, handling, and calibration of all testing, monitoring, measuring, and detecting equipment.
Develop and manage a calibration schedule.
Conduct or outsource calibrations and maintain verification records.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Training
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of manufacturing, remanufacturing, and quality control processes, following API Q1, API 6A, API 16A, and API 16AR standards.
Certified NDE Level II Inspector (at least in MP and LP methods), with valid training records and on-the-job experience.
Experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in an oil and gas manufacturing or production environment.
At least 3 years of experience in quality control and inspection of drilling equipment, particularly Blowout Preventers (BOPs).
At least 6 years of experience in NDE (MP & LP) inspection for oil-and-gas-related products and components.
Accountability
The individual assigned to this position is responsible for ensuring all duties and responsibilities are performed accurately and efficiently.
Monday - Friday 7am-4pm and Saturday 7am- 3pm.
