A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead its Quality Control department. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer requirements, company standards, and applicable industry codes while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Quality Control team.
- Develop and maintain quality systems, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) requirements.
- Oversee inspection and testing activities throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, material certifications, traceability records, NCRs, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Coordinate inspections with customers, third-party inspectors, and authorized inspection agencies.
- Ensure welding and fabrication activities comply with approved procedures (WPS, PQR, WPQ).
- Support NDT/NDE activities, investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve product quality and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience with ASME pressure vessel fabrication and code compliance is preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- ASME BPVC (Section VIII & IX)
- WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation
- NDT/NDE inspection methods
- Material traceability and quality documentation
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
