Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent in the electro-mechanical market. The ideal candidate will have experience with major suppliers and strong negotiation skills to maintain profitable relationships.
Responsibilities

Order Management: Enter and submit purchase orders to suppliers

Supplier Assessment: Analyze supplier profiles and quote offers

Negotiation: Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics

Supplier Management: Ensure quality, timely delivery, and compliance with contracts

Quality Review: Review supplies for quality assurance

Inventory Monitoring: Keep track of stock levels and update vendor records
Required Skills
-
Experience in purchasing electrical-mechanical components and computer-related products

Strong negotiation skills for prices and terms

Knowledge of market research and purchasing best practices

Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing software (e.g., Syteline, Excel, Word)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Preferred Skills

Experience in an ERP environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Minimum of one year in general purchasing within manufacturing

Background in the defense industry is a plus
