Job Description

Immediate opening for a Program Assistant a local non-profit . This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity with a starting pay of $24.00 hourly. Typical schedule is Monday Friday from 8: 00a 5: 00pm.
The Program Assistant is responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance activities to ensure performance/compliance with the contract according to federal, state, program, and regional expectation/requirements. In addition, the Program Assistant conducts research, collects, inputs, and analyzes statistical data, evaluates system policies and procedures, provides technical assistance and services to agency contractors and service providers, and makes recommendations to achieve goals and objectives. The Program Assistant will exercise discretion and independent judgement in matters of significance as related to the management of business operations of the agency.
Primary Duties:
  • Initiate and develop projects and programs, formulate broad perspectives, reach sound conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Assists in the design, development and implementation of special projects and initiatives. Assists in developing plans for quality initiatives, which may include contracting for services, coordination with other partners, and evaluating effectiveness of activities.
  • Performs and oversees Quality Assurance activities to ensure performance/compliance with the contract according to federal, state, program, and regional expectation/requirements. Ensures the accurate and appropriate completion of reports by the contractor.
  • Accesses, collects, and compiles documents and data. Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents or data. Inserts data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits. Files documents in designated locations according to department procedures. Reviews data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
  • Prepares written summaries on findings and recommendations.
  • Responds appropriately, professionally, and timely to requests for information, clarification and/or assistance.
  • Uses computer applications and management information systems effectively.
  • Interpreting planning and program objectives to groups and public.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Board and Contractor Staff, representatives of outside agencies, Chief Elected Officials, and the public.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or University
  • Minimum of 4 years of Child Care Services (CCS) Quality Improvement Activities and Initiatives, Education, Workforce Development Programs, Human Services Programs or Non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • 1 year in an administrative management, oversight or supervisory capacity.
