Procurement Coordinator

Job Description
- Prepares and develops Requests for Quotes.
- Prepares, reviews, and issues agreements.
- Primary contact during the solicitation process between the organization and bidders/proposers from initiation to award and execution of all agreements.
- Coordinates multiple projects in various solicitation stages, facilitates the award, issuance, and execution of agreements; ensures vendors are in compliance with required insurance(s), and verifies contractors licenses.
- Participates in public outreach events, as needed, to enhance participation of DBE suppliers and to educate the public on how to do business with our organization.
- Assists internal employees by providing advice and guidance in all phases of the formal solicitation process, small purchase, and purchase order process.
- Maintains Procurement files, including but not limited to contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and small purchase orders
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all company-related business information and personnel issues.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of all steps of contracting administrative processes and procedures from initiation to expiration, including renewals, amendments, change orders, contract modifications, and terminations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications and Adobe.
- Correct English usage, spelling, and vocabulary;
- Advanced personal computer knowledge; thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, business math, office practices, and administrative procedures.
- Good organizational and time management skills; must be detail-oriented.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Public Administration, or related area.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of related work experience.
Possession of an appropriate, valid TX Driver s License.
Pay is $19 - $23.00 /hr depending on experience.
