Machine Operator
Job Description
We're seeking a Bindery Machine Operator with hands-on experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining a wide range of bindery and press equipment. Proven ability to ensure smooth production flow, maintain high-quality standards, and minimize downtime through routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of safety protocols, technical drawings, and efficient machine operation in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm + OT required
Location: Near Woodlawn Lake
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 hourly DOE
Responsibilities

Set up and operate bindery and press machines according to job specifications

Load materials, align components, and secure dies for accurate production runs

Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency

Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards

Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs to reduce downtime

Document production data and report issues or inconsistencies to supervisors

Follow strict safety procedures and maintain compliance with workplace regulations

Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist in equipment repairs when necessary

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements:

Must be able to pass background and drug screen

Experience with bindery equipment (folders, cutters, stitchers, perfect binders, laminators)

Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to flexible shifts or overtime
