Packaging Operators- Overnight Shift
Job Description
LK Jordan is currently seeking Packaging Operators to support the production and packaging process for a busy food distribution supplier. Responsibilities include loading products and supplies into packaging machines, monitoring production, and packaging finished products into cases for storage. This position also helps maintain a clean and safe work environment and follows all food safety and production procedures.
Schedule & Pay
Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:30 AM

Job Responsibilities

Load products and ingredients into packaging machines for processing.

Assist with verifying raw product weights and ensuring ingredients match production work orders.

Obtain and load packaging materials, including film, and verify they are appropriate for the product being produced.

Monitor machines during production and notify the machine operator of any issues.

Help minimize product waste and ensure production runs efficiently.

Report any product quality, food safety, or equipment concerns to the machine operator or production manager.

Receive finished packages from the machine and place them into cases.
-
Verify the correct number of packages are placed in each case and properly seal cases.
-
Palletize completed cases as directed by the line operator.

Assist with counting completed cases and tracking production.

Assist with cleaning and basic maintenance of machines, equipment, floors, sinks, and other areas as needed.

Report any known food safety concerns to a supervisor.

Follow all required food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, and workplace safety procedures, including handwashing and wearing required protective clothing and hair nets.

Follow all company procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Must be punctual, dependable, and reliable.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to follow directions and take instruction from supervisors.

Must be able to follow all safety, sanitation, and food safety requirements.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Ability to climb ladders, steps, and work on elevated platforms.
-
Comfortable working around machinery and using small hand tools.
-
Ability to assist with assembling and disassembling machinery as needed.
