Customer Service Representative needed in South Austin

Full Time - 100% paid benefits

$21.00 hour (100% in office)

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Summary:
A Customer Service Representative interacts with customers to provide superior service during each interaction. Responsibilities include de-escalating customer complaints, handling special orders or returns in-store, via phone, or by email. Representatives answer customer questions regarding products, services, operations, or maintenance. They receive and process orders, and provide information concerning pricing, service changes, discontinuations, and shipping. Additional duties include managing fraud prevention, chargebacks, returns, third-party claims, and disputes involving missing packages with couriers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with customers by phone, chat, or email to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses in a timely manner.

  • Applies proper telephone etiquette to address various situations.

  • Demonstrates active listening by asking questions and empathizing with customers to obtain information and explain available services.

  • Utilizes conflict resolution, negotiation, and de-escalation skills to correct errors on customer accounts, company records, and sales orders.

  • Coordinates with other departments to address customer complaints related to products or services.

  • Collaborates with affiliated couriers to resolve shipment issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary.

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Accurate typing skills required

  • Previous experience in an office, retail, service industry, or customer service role preferred

  • Must have knowledge of Google Docs, experience using a CRM, and navigating multiple applications at one time
