The candidate should be caring and compassionate, polite, friendly, very computer literate, detail oriented and able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance. Additionally, the candidate must be a team player and understand flexibility is important in a clinic setting. Excellent communication skills are a must as this position requires interaction with patients, co-workers and others on the telephone, in person and through written correspondence.
Some of the responsibilities of this position will include the following:
Assisting physicians with patient care (including wound care).
Rooming patients and recording vitals.
Prepping and cleaning exam rooms.
Sterilization of equipment and supply management.
Appointment scheduling and chart preparation.
Phone call triage.
Obtain and track lab, radiology and pathology reports.
The minimum qualifications for this position require a High School Diploma and 2 years experience working in a healthcare setting or private medical practice with a minimum 1 year as a Medical Assistant. Medical Assistant Certification is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus.
This position is a full-time position. The hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM 4: 30 PM with overtime as needed.
