A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and supporting maintenance and reliability within the operation. The Manager will head the maintenance group and be a technical resource that provides and shares expertise of equipment, options to improve maintenance and operating practices, and opportunities to advance use of technology. This role will be responsible for managing numerous reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve desired results (e.G. Improve availability of equipment to operate and reduce unplanned downtime). The role will drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risk involved; and actively interface with all levels of the organization within the facility and groups outside the facility.
What You Will Need:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field -- OR -- an Associate's (or equivalent) degree in a technical field and a maintenance or reliability related certification
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing a maintenance group in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance and reliability experience with industrial equipment and/or manufacturing systems
Must have experience in leading improvement efforts in Maintenance Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, Precision Maintenance, and have experience routinely utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem solving tools
Experience with capital project management
Intermediate or higher level proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with mechanical and electrical machinery, including conveyer systems, breakers, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, etc.
What Will Put You Ahead?
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Professional certification in Maintenance or Reliability
Experience with manufacturing methods and continuous improvement processes
Experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities
Knowledge of maintenance best practices and approaches utilized in a manufacturing environment
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Manufacturing System (CMMS)
Familiar with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP)
The selected applicant will be trained in work processes and will need to gain a thorough understanding of the MP2 maintenance management system.
