Job Description
NOW HIRING: Lab Technician I
Location: Houston, TX 77073
Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts
LK Jordan & Associates is currently hiring a Lab Technician I for a manufacturing facility in North Houston. This position is responsible for performing quality testing on materials, operating lab equipment, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards
- Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments
- Test finished products for density, tensile properties, and other quality measurements
- Perform product sample testing to verify specifications
- Obtain test samples from rolls using a cut knife
- Enter test results and data into ERP/MRP systems
- Follow production schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Experience entering data into ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and follow production instructions and procedures
- Basic math skills (weights, measurements, calculations)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a plant environment with heat exposure
- Must be available to work 12-hour rotating shifts
