Job Description
The Jr. Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees supervisors, foreman and crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Delegates work and assignments to foreman and crews based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
- Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, engineers, or other involved parties
- Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the project.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, supervisors, Clients and TXDOT.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, preferred.
- At least 3+ years of related experience required.
- PMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
