Job Description


The Jr. Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed.




Responsibilities:
  • Oversees supervisors, foreman and crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to foreman and crews based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, engineers, or other involved parties
  • Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the project.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, supervisors, Clients and TXDOT.




Required Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, preferred.
  • At least 3+ years of related experience required.
  • PMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
