INVENTORY CLERK
TEMP TO HIRE
$15-$17/hr /HR PLUS $1.50 SHIFT
FOR SECOND SHIFT
230P-11P OVERTIME AND WEEKENDS AS NEEDED:

Summary of Responsibilities
Compile records related to MRP, ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, cycle counting and shipping materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Participate in expediting the flow of material, parts and assemblies between sections or departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Review receiving or shipping notices and requests for movement of raw materials and finished products to determine that documents are complete and to prepare for scheduling.
? Compile data from sources such as contracts, sales orders, purchase orders, bills of materials (BOM s), requisitions and accounting reports.
? Verify or prepare records such as routing slips, material requisitions and job orders.
? Compile and maintain manual or computerized records, to include material inventory, in-process production reports and location of materials.
? Interpret MRP output to schedule the issuance of manufacturing work orders and purchase requisitions.
? Keep back order file in established sequence and release back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
? Compile stock control records and information such as cycle counting, characteristics of items in storage, and current sales volumes, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
? Prepare requisitions, orders or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items. Track and expedite items to meet on-time demand.
? Compare nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, bids, bills of materials and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
? Review files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of stock.
? Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
? Keep desk and work area clean and orderly.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or nine to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Language Skills
Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities
Able to work under moderate supervision in a manufacturing environment. Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office products to include Word, Excel, ERP and MRP systems. Familiarity with computer networks and e-mail.
