HOUSTON WELDING SUPPLY COMPANY LOOKING FOR INSIDE/OUTSIDE SALES PERSON TO JOIN THEIR TEAM!

TEMP TO HIRE
$50-$55K PLUS COMMISSIONS!
DAY SHIFT

REQUIRED TO TRAVEL WEEKLY BETWEEN LOCATIONS AS BUSINESS DICTATES.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE SELLING WELDING SUPPLIES IS MANDATORY

The Sales Representative is responsible for the growth of the Welding Supply Department along with the overall sales goal of the company. This individual is responsible for generating a new customer base as well as maintaining & servicing the existing customer base. This individual will perform multiple sales functions including phone sales, customer visits, prospecting and overall customer service. This individual will also assist in generating new welding supply vendors, negotiating discounts & setting price perimeters.
Essential Duties
Generating sales for the company via telephone, email, or visit to customer locations.
Builds and maintains customer relationships
Respond to sales inquiries on product information, price, delivery, and processing in a prompt & courteous manner
Coordinate with all departments to ensure superior customer service. (see General Duties)
Expand & Penetrate targeted accounts
General Duties
Coordinates with purchasing on product availability, promise dates & material certification
Coordinates with dispatch on deliveries and pick ups
Coordinates with Accounting on credit terms, applications & limits
Maintain accurate records (i.E. Sales call reports, expense reports, commission reports & other documentation)
Maintain knowledge of inventories, products, services & customer requirements.
Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone' s efforts to succeed.

Minimum Requirements and skills
5+ years of relative sales experience and industry experience
HS Graduate; Bachelors Degree preferred
Valid Driver License
Strong customer service mentality
Ability to pass a background check and/or drug/alcohol screen
Team player
Strong technical solution and developmental skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and designs clearly.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers.
Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas at various levels of seniority across organizations to achieve goals.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to job.
Ability to stand, lift, climb and perform various other physical functions
Position requires and complete physical agility, mobility and dexterity
Display the ability to accurately use advanced math skills
