Maintenance Technician
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Salary Range: $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient operation of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment, along with performing facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and other industrial equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Execute repairs and replacements of defective components, such as motors, gears, valves, and sensors.
- System Troubleshooting:
- Analyze and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to resolve problems in electrical circuits, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic devices.
- Installation and Calibration:
- Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
- Adjust and fine-tune equipment settings to optimize performance.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct facility and building maintenance, including minor repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Recordkeeping and Coordination:
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors for mechanical and electrical repairs when needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with standing, bending, and working in various environmental conditions, including noise, heat, and confined spaces.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.) with certification.
Salary and Benefits:
- $30 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
