Position Summary
The Machinist will set up and operate a wide range of manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components used in the power generation and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities
Perform all assigned machine shop and field machining operations.
Operate manual machines and specialized tooling used in industrial and power-generation applications.
Identify defective materials or questionable conditions and report findings to management.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all required safety procedures.
Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling, grinding, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sanding tasks.
Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools and document results.
Complete and maintain required documentation for parts and processes.
Assist in other areas as needed, including fabrication, furnace operations, lay-up, infiltration, and sandblasting.
Use provided tools, machines, and technology effectively and efficiently.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, suppliers, and coworkers.
Participate in ongoing training for professional development.
Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
10+ years of machining/manufacturing experience
Strong hands-on skills in manual machining and machine setups
Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and overtime
Fit for duty and maintain a professional appearance
Valid driver’s license and passport
Strongly Preferred:
Rotating equipment experience
Portable/on-site machining experience
Technical or trade school education
Experience in the power industry or related heavy industrial sectors
Compensation
