Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist
Job Description
LK Jordan is currently hiring an experienced Machinist for a company located in Northwest Houston. This is a great opportunity for candidates with precision machining experience working on pump components and rotating equipment parts. Competitive pay offered based on experience, plus regular overtime available.
Responsibilities:
• Precision machining of pump parts including rings, bushings, sleeves, and shafts
• Maintain tight tolerances up to .001 T.I.R. on finished products
• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Set up and operate manual, semi-automated, or automated machines including lathes and grinders
• Take accurate measurements using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Monitor machine performance and inspect finished products for quality
• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs
Qualifications:
• Previous machinist experience required
• Experience machining pump or rotating equipment parts preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Strong math and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or GED required
Schedule:
• 8-hour shifts with regular overtime opportunities
