Position Overview:
The Geologist will play a critical role in supporting wellfield development and delineation activities. This includes interpreting geological data, preparing maps and cross-sections, logging samples, and contributing to resource evaluations. Based in the field, this role works closely with the Development Manager and requires hands-on involvement in daily geological operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze geological data to create and update maps, cross-sections, and other materials that inform exploration and development strategies, including recommendations for drilling and project advancement.

  • Conduct fieldwork, including monitoring drilling operations, collecting and logging samples, evaluating geological formations, and marking drill sites.

  • Collaborate with engineering and drilling teams to optimize drilling programs, ensuring alignment with geological findings.

  • Develop geological reports and visual materials for use in internal meetings, regulatory processes, and budget planning.

  • Assist in evaluating potential new projects or property acquisitions by performing thorough geological assessments.

  • Operate GPS tools in both field and office settings to identify and accurately stake drilling locations.

  • Maintain organized geological records, including databases, sample logs, field notes, maps, and other documentation.

  • Promote and adhere to safety standards, actively identifying and addressing potential hazards in the workplace.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.

  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.

  • At least one to three years of relevant geological experience, with a background in resource exploration preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for field assignments.

  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, work in varied weather conditions, and access challenging field environments.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of office and outdoor fieldwork.

  • Travel to project sites and other locations may be required.

  • Work involves exposure to diverse weather conditions and occasional physically demanding tasks.

Salary is $60K - $65K depending on experience.
