Full Charge Bookkeeper
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciling cash, bank accounts and revenues.
- Maintaining an accurate general ledger, adjusting as needed.
- Creating journal entries for all accounts.
- Monitoring the business' cash flow and making bank transfers as needed.
- Assist credit department in collecting payments and sales tax information from customers.
- Preparing and filling Texas and Oklahoma sales/use tax returns and monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Be an active participant in monitoring the credit department portal.
- Supervising accounting staff i.E., accounts payable, account receivable, and credit managers.
- Collecting information for auditing purposes
- Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Communicate with customers via phone, e-mail or personally.
- Be the primary back up for the accounts payable and accounts receivable role.
- Be able to enter accounts payable invoices, for equipment suppliers, employee reimbursements and general operating expenses, and then process payments (checks and ACH).
- Be able to enter cash receipts from customers and apply the payments to the proper invoices.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma and/or one college/business degree.
- 5 years of experience in high volume general bookkeeping, accounts receivables, accounts payable.
- Completion of background check and drug test.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver' s license.
