Key ResponsibilitiesEscrow Leadership & Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for escrow officers regarding complex files and procedural questions
Provide expert guidance on underwriting requirements and risk mitigation
Review and troubleshoot high-liability, exception, and non-routine transactions
Ensure all escrow files meet company, underwriter, and regulatory standards
Interpret and apply underwriting guidelines for residential and commercial transactions
Approve, structure, or escalate underwriting decisions appropriately
Conduct detailed internal audits for compliance and quality assurance
Identify risk exposure and implement corrective action plans
Maintain strong knowledge of Texas title regulations and best practices
Train and mentor escrow officers and support staff
Develop and refine internal procedures and workflow standards
Lead compliance and operational training initiatives
Promote consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Serve as the in-house SoftPro subject matter expert
Troubleshoot system errors, workflow challenges, and reporting issues
Assist with system updates, user permissions, and process improvements
Support leadership with reporting and operational insights
Monitor escrow processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines
Assist in resolving escalated lender, client, or internal issues
Strengthen internal controls and risk management practices
Foster a culture of accountability and professionalism
Qualifications
15+ years of escrow experience required
Prior experience as a senior Escrow Officer strongly preferred
Extensive underwriting expertise with the ability to independently analyze complex transactions
Advanced SoftPro proficiency required
Proven experience conducting audits and ensuring regulatory compliance
Deep understanding of Texas title and escrow regulations
