Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
LK Jordan is currently seeking Journeyman Electrician for a local pool company, to install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring for residential and commercial swimming pools, spas, and water features, ensuring compliance with TDLR and NEC standards. Key tasks include wiring pool pumps, lighting, heaters, automation systems, and conduit installation, requiring a valid Texas Journeyman license. Pay rate can go up to $33 hourly based on experience!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to all Company safety policies and procedures

Clean, gather, and transport materials to electricians on the construction site

Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members

Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers, and vendors

Drive yourself to job sites with a Company Vehicle

Install, repair, maintenance, and testing of commercial and residential electrical systems in full support of the Company. safety, operations, and productivity initiatives

Maintain workflow schedule to ensure Company productivity objectives are met
-
Splice and terminate wires at junction points
-
Use industry-related hand tools and power tools, under supervision
-
Work on measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing wire and electrical cable and conduit systems

Work with wires and cables within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.

Additional duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
-
Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
-
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them
-
Familiar with aspects of operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
-
Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits, and specialty systems

Knowledge of magnetic induction, three-phase transformers, conductors, and wiring methods.

Strong work ethic with excellent attendance

The ability to read and understand electrical single-line blueprints
Education, Licensing, and Experience:
-
A valid Journeyman Electrician License is required
-
Required valid state-issued driver’s license with a driving record that meets the Company’s fleet insurability standards
Physical Requirements:
-
Fully squat, stoop, or kneel while wearing a 25 lb tool belt
-
Lift 50 lbs from the ground and pull 50 lbs of force
-
Maintain a standing position for long periods while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires
-
Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling, and conduit pulling
-
Work off of ladders, man lifts, or reach booms
-
Able to work in outdoor environments for extended periods
