Electrolyzer Durability Engineer
Job Description
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the work are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Essential Functions of the Position:

Collaborate with research and development teams to identify new testing needs and opportunities.

Report results in an extremely clear and concise manner to leadership.

Assemble electrolyzer cells in accordance with established specifications and guidelines.

Install and monitor cells in test stations to guarantee proper functionality.

Execute experiments, collect data, and ensure tests are carried out accurately and on schedule.

Record, analyze, and report test results in a timely manner.

Code new scripts for the automated operation of test stations.

Automate data analysis processes and determine methods by which to improve efficiency.

Maintain comprehensive test result databases to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Address questions or concerns related to test results as needed.

Develop and maintain testing procedures to guarantee accurate and consistent results.

Clean and maintain testing equipment, including the recalibration of devices as required.

Stay up-to-date with the latest technical and scientific advancements in your field.
Professional Qualifications:
-
At least 2 years prior full-time experience in running electrochemical cycling and testing protocols with electrolyzers, fuel cells, batteries, or other similar devices.

Astute understanding of materials and electrochemical degradation processes.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with complex systems.

Extremely strong spreadsheet and presentation-making skills.

Knowledge of methods by which to automate processing of large data sets.

Experience with Matlab, Python or similar programming tools.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with how to design experiments with statistics backed methods (preferred).
