A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Following and complying with all safety standards including LOTO
Providing safe and timely electrical support
Conferring with supervisor on job assignments and preventive maintenance, and maintenance work orders
Analyzing, troubleshooting, replacing and installing electrical DC controls and AC controls
Power distribution troubleshooting and electrical installations
Troubleshooting and correcting equipment Programmable Logic Controls (PLC s)
Providing suggestions, designs and upgrades existing equipment controls
Developing, creating and keeping all electrical documentation accurately
PLC programming and modification of programs and devices
Ethernet I/O troubleshooting and setup
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment
Participating in continuous improvement activities
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
At least one (1) year of experience troubleshooting PLCs
At least two (2) years of electrical and/or mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Willing and able to obtain a mobile equipment license and operate mobile equipment
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
Willing and able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping)
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing safety equipment
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of at least a two-year course in Industrial Electrical principles
At least three (3) years of Electrical and/or Mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience programming and maintaining PLC s
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and control devices
Experience installing industrial electrical equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems
Experience troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, circuits and components
