Job Description
The Document Control Manager is responsible for the document and record control operations, policies, and procedures for the secure management and access of company information assets. This role will manage a departmental group while implementing organizational standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure company policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other internal documents are up to date
- Coordinates the creation of policies and regulations within the Company (e.g., HR, Finance, Legal, HSE, Quality)
- Reviews and coordinates documents across functions
- Introduces new policies into the life of the Company
- Ensures publication and distribution of all documents in the Company
- Ensures familiarization of employees throughout all companies with policies and procedures; develop training programs/practices to ensure that all policies are read, understood, and complied with.
- Conducts analysis, monitoring, measurement, reviews, and continuous improvement of the Company’s policies
- Oversees and participates in the development of reports, documents, briefings, and surveys around Company regulations
- Develops and maintains relationships with key policymaking stakeholders
- Directs and coordinates the work of the team, individual policy administrators
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
- Create and revise current process documentation
- Assist in M&A due diligence to ensure all diligence documents are preserved and all target documents are obtained and preserved post-closing
- Implements and ensure compliance with Record Retention Policy
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Undergraduate degree and 10+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- 3-5 years supervisory experience
- Performing quality control to ensure accuracy
- Experience in working with and managing project deadlines in an effective manner
- Experience working with various functions to ensure policy implementation through procedures, manuals, and documentation
- Familiar with Microsoft Office & Tools, Adobe Acrobat, and other publication software
Preferred Education & Skills:
- 5+ years of Course/Content and Learning Design experience
- 3+ years LMS experience
- Previous Policy/Document Control Management Experience
