Financial Analyst will support and be part of the growing Acquisitions and Development team in Dallas. The position will focus primarily on financial analysis, budgeting, market research, due diligence, market research, transaction coordination, project management and reporting in support of real estate investment, development and construction. Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate competency in detailed financial modelling of real estate acquisitions and/or development projects in MS Excel. Dallas Analyst - Acquisitions & Development
Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Creation and updating of financial models and analysis in Microsoft Excel for new acquisition underwriting, ground up development underwriting, construction budgets, property budgets, budget variance, cash flow projections, partner distributions, financing alternatives, recapitalizations, dispositions and ad hoc analysis as needed.
  • Preparation of professional reports, budgets, schedules, and cash flow projections for owner, partner and investor review.
  • Drafting of professional memoranda such as those detailing new investment opportunities, summarizing due diligence investigations, and supporting major decision requests.
  • Coordination of the administrative aspects of real estate, finance, and legal transactions.
  • Due diligence tasks associated with acquisition, disposition and financing transactions.
  • Providing research based analysis and recommendations for specific real estate decisions.
  • Detailed research on specific properties, neighborhoods, and submarkets to facilitate identification of opportunities and making investment decisions.
  • Market inquiries, rent comparable analysis and sales comparable analysis.
  • Coordination of consultant, supplier and contractor procurement.
  • Project management and administrative duties as assigned in connection with acquisitions, development, construction and asset management.
  • Review and preparation of abstracts for contracts, loan documents and tenant leases.
  • Routine assembly and preparation of presentations and reporting for team meetings.
  • Coordination and preparation of periodic reporting for existing properties and projects.
  • Working closely with other real estate acquisitions, development, finance, design, construction and investor relations professionals at all levels in the company.

Experience & Education
  • Demonstrated postgraduate work experience, including 2+ years of meaningful financial analysis, modeling and/or underwriting experience, preferably with a firm involved in real estate, financing, or investment.
  • BA/BS degree with a concentration in real estate, finance, business, economics, law, architecture or construction.
  • MBA preferred, but not required
