Job Summary:
L.K. Jordan is hiring for our client who is an industry leader in hydraulic repair and custom fabrication. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cylinder Technician to join their expert team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, rebuilding, and testing hydraulic cylinders to ensure peak performance and reliability. This position plays a crucial role in delivering the quality and precision their customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble hydraulic cylinders and inspect components for wear, damage, or failure
Repair or replace seals, rods, barrels, and other cylinder components
Rebuild cylinders to OEM specifications or customer requirements
Operate lathes, honing equipment, and other tools for machining and finishing work
Conduct pressure testing to ensure proper function and performance
Maintain accurate records of repair activities and parts used
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with other technicians and shop personnel to complete jobs efficiently
Requirements:
Proven experience in hydraulic cylinder repair and rebuilds
Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use precision tools and measuring instruments
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
Familiarity with hydraulic systems, seals, and component identification
Forklift operation experience is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
