Construction Crew Leader
Job Description
LK Jordan & Associates is recruiting a Hands-On Crew Leader on behalf of our client in the carport and metal construction industry. This is a working leadership role, not a supervisory-only position. The Crew Leader is expected to be actively involved in the field daily, leading by example while maintaining high-quality standards across projects nationwide.
This opportunity is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys travel, thrives in hands-on environments, and is comfortable leading small crews while actively participating in the work.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a hands-on working Crew Leader on job sites
Lead and work alongside a crew of 3–4 team members
Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
Perform construction-related tasks including:
Carport installation
Foundation and elevation work (as applicable)
Skid steer operation
Maintain productivity, accountability, and job-site quality
Travel nationwide to project locations (approximately 75% travel)
Meet at the Cypress-area home base and travel with the crew in a company vehicle
Drive company vehicles after hire and conversion (driving not required immediately upon hire)
Must-Have Qualifications
Clean MVR (non-negotiable)
7-year background check with no felonies
Proven construction experience
Skid steer operation experience
Willingness and ability to travel nationwide
Strong work ethic with a hands-on leadership mindset
Highly Preferred / Plus Experience
OSHA 30 certification (HUGE plus)
Experience in the carport industry
Foundation or roofing elevation experience
Prior experience leading crews in a field-based construction environment
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $55K to $70K plus, DOE
Per diem: $35 per day
Lodging: Fully covered by the client
Travel: Nationwide projects across 26 states
