Are you ready to take your plumbing estimating career to the next level?
We're expanding our operations and growing our commercial plumbing division within a thriving mechanical contracting company—and we're looking for an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team.
In this key role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial plumbing projects while working closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing division and help drive the company's continued success.
? Key Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, specifications, and construction documents to prepare accurate plumbing estimates

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and specialty piping systems

Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors

Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work

Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate project budgeting and successful project execution

Develop and manage multiple bids and proposals while meeting deadlines

Review project scope, identify value engineering opportunities, and recommend cost-effective solutions

Maintain knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, local regulations, and industry standards
? Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience

Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices

Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and interpreting blueprints and specifications

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (FastPIPE, Trimble, QuoteSoft, or similar software preferred)

Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams

Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Must pass a federal background check, have a clean MVR, and pass a drug screen
