Job Description
Commercial Building Inspector for approximate year and half project overseeing new construction of three commercial buildings.

Conducting thorough inspections of commercial buildings at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with relevant building codes, zoning ordinances, and safety regulations.

Reviewing architectural and structural plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Identifying and documenting any violations, deficiencies, or safety hazards found during inspections and providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Communicating inspection findings and recommendations effectively, both orally and in writing, to contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Collaborating with construction teams, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies to address compliance issues and resolve any discrepancies.

Maintaining accurate records of inspections, reports, and correspondence in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:

ICC Certifications
-
Minimum of five years commercial building inspecting experience

Thorough knowledge of building codes and construction practices

Proficiency in computer software and preparing reports
-
Valid driver license
Estimated to be a year and half project with possibility of long term
$50 - $70.00 an hour, depending on experience
