Combo Welder
Job Description
We are seeking skilled and dependable Welders with proven experience in SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW (flux core) processes. Proficiency in welding both carbon and alloy materials is essential, and experience with SAW (submerged arc welding) is a strong plus.
This role focuses on both quality and productivity within a fabrication environment. Ideal candidates take pride in producing high-quality welds efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality welding using SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes
Weld on carbon steel and alloy materials per established codes and procedures
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions
Maintain high craftsmanship standards with consistent X-ray/NDT pass rates
Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
Collaborate with QA/QC and production teams to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in structural and/or pipe welding
Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW techniques
Ability to pass weld tests in multiple positions on carbon and alloy materials
Experience with SAW (sub arc welding) is a plus
Strong understanding of welding symbols, blueprints, and procedures
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
Current or previous ASME/ANSI/API welding certifications
Knowledge of welding inspection requirements (RT, UT, etc.)
Willingness to work overtime or varied shifts as needed
