Job Description
LK Jordan has an immediate opening for a Collection Specialist by the San Antonio Airport. This position will be responsible for managing all forms of financial accounts. The schedule is Monday- Friday from 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. The pay range is $16 hourly. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that will go permanent based on performance.
Responsibilities:
* Obtains or exceeds minimum level of acceptable financial performance in dollars collected.
*Maintains acceptable attendance record as outlined in the employee handbook. (Excessive absences cannot be tolerated).
*Initiate telephone contact with debtor to determine reason for delinquency. Reviews terms of sale, service, or credit contract with debtor; while at the same time secures payment in full or an acceptable payment arrangement.
*Records precise and accurate information about financial status of debtor and results of collection efforts.
*Skip traces debtor to new location via automated process or by investigation.
*Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Experience, Knowledge:
*This position requires experience in 3rd party collections. Must have good oral communication skills with bilingual skills preferred. 1-2 years of personal computer experience and organizational skills required. Type 30wpm. May have knowledge of FDCPA.
*PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING
Decisions are made regarding priorities of work to be done daily, weekly, and monthly in attempt to collect the accounts.
*CONTACTS AND RELATIONSHIPS
Internally reports revenue collected to supervisor. Externally works with debtors to ensure proper payment arrangement.
*PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
This position exists in an office environment. Heavy computer usage as well as heavy telephone contact with debtors.
