Civil Supervisor for road construction
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Supervisor to lead and manage dirt work, asphalt paving, and equipment operations in a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supervising crews, estimating project costs, and operating heavy machinery. The role requires overseeing day-to-day activities on civil construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily operations for dirt work, asphalt paving, and related civil construction tasks.

Lead and coordinate a team of construction workers, ensuring they follow proper work procedures and safety protocols.

Oversee equipment operation.

Monitor project timelines and ensure that work is completed within schedule.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, as well as company policies.

Ensure proper documentation of daily reports, including progress updates, equipment logs, and safety checklists.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors.

Work in refineries and other industrial settings, such as Valero in Three Rivers, TX.

Ensure that all employees under supervision are trained in the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety practices.
Required Qualifications:

Extensive experience in dirt work, asphalt paving, and operating heavy construction equipment.

Proven track record of successfully supervising crews in civil construction projects.

Experience in estimating project costs, materials, and labor.

Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive company vehicles.

Current TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.

Ability to pass a DISA Hair Follicle drug screen and background check.

Must be able to work in refinery environments (e.g., Valero, Three Rivers, TX) and surrounding areas.

DISA active status and safety council badging is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and environments, including refineries.

Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Ability to operate construction equipment safely and efficiently.
This is a great temp to hire opportunity. Health Insurance with 60% of employee's paid and matching 401K available after perm hire.
Starting pay between $80 - $100K a year.
