POSITION SUMMARY:
Will be responsible for properly placing work piece in the machines and completing the operations specified on the job travelers. Must be capable of interpreting blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processes. Must be familiar with G-code programming formats. Should have a good working knowledge of inspection equipment and be capable of selecting the proper inspection tool to verify product conformity to specifications. Produce quality parts in an efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setup and operate CNC Mill
Load and unload parts, change tools setting offsets, verify part measurements, detect equipment malfunction, detect out of tolerance conditions
Performs operations needed to manufacture complex components
Perform basic daily maintenance on work center
Commitment to keeping a neat and organized work area
Develop specifications from simple and complex blueprints, or hand sketch simple parts on paper
Adherence to all safety requirements including proper use of PPE
Willingness to work overtime to maintain customer requirements
Able to fit parts and hold tolerance to within .0005-.002"
Takes responsibility and pride in doing work precisely and correctly

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3-5 years machining experience on Horizontal CNC milling equipment.
Fanuc and Haas Control knowledge a plus
Ability to read and write G & M code and edit programs at the machine
Blue print reading skills
Able to setup and run concurrent jobs on machines
Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparators
Ability to hold tight tolerances
Strong Shop math skills
Able to work to metric dimensions
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems.
Leadership skills
