CNC Production Supervisor/Programmer

TEMP TO HIRE

$70-$80K

6A-330P OVERTIME AND FLEXIBLE ON HOURS.

CNC Production Supervisor will be responsible for all daily activities performed in the CNC department. The CNC Production Supervisor controls staffing levels and assigns employees to tasks as necessary in order to meet production goals. The CNC Production Supervisor supervises the work flow of 6-8 Technicians, to ensure that the production plan is accomplished on a daily basis.


REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, general education degree (GED), and Associates Degree from an accredited technical school or college preferred
Must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a Supervisory/Management position in a production/ manufacturing environment
Must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in programming CNC Lasers (preferably AMADA), press brakes (preferably AMADA) and plasmas.
Bilingual in Spanish, a plus!
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Impeccable attendance
Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma tools is required
Experience with ERP programsPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES*

Train, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods to produce a quality product in a safe and timely manner to meet production demands.
Provide work assignments, procure parts, and communicate production demands to employees as well as perform quality and safety audits and generate maintenance requests.
Ensure that production schedules are attained daily while meeting safety, cost, and quality objectives.
Proactively use Lean tools to improve operating efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality and safety results.
Utilize accurate measurement tools to track area key indices, to identify unfavorable trends, and to take corrective action.
Make timely decisions to maintain production outputs.
Quickly analyze situations and provide direction to production staff.
Implement corrective action and improvement plans, as needed.
Facilitate Engineering activities in support of new product and process introduction.
Participate in manufacturing operations strategy and planning processes.
Implement continuous improvement activities, such as quality improvement teams to reduce scrap and increase productivity.
Perform other duties and/or assist with special projects as assigned.
