They are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their corporate team. This position offers an opportunity to oversee core accounting operations, partner closely with leadership, and play a key role in supporting continued growth.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accuracy of financial reporting, and supervise the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams. The ideal candidate has experience in project-based or construction accounting and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Collections, including preparation of large monthly invoices and maintenance of customer records
Manage Accounts Payable processes, vendor records, and annual 1099 reporting
Record daily cash transactions and reconcile multiple bank accounts each month
Maintain and update Work in Process (WIP) and project job costing reports
Manage fixed asset schedules and related depreciation entries
Prepare and file monthly sales tax reports
Calculate and process monthly sales commissions
Support payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees, including quarterly payroll tax reporting
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the general ledger
Prepare monthly financial statements and assist the CFO with financial reporting and analysis
Participate in the annual budgeting and external audit processes
Provide information to outside accountants for annual tax filings
Maintain organized financial document retention systems
Supervise and mentor AR and AP team members
Promote collaboration between accounting/finance and other company departments
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Construction experience with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
Payroll and sales tax filings (Heavy Highway tax filings would also be nice but not required)
Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes
Processing payroll
Experience in project accounting or construction industry accounting preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ERP systems
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Timberline, or ComputerEase
CPA or active pursuit of CPA a plus
