Job Description
Forklift Operator – NW Houston/Waller TX Area
Location: NW Houston/Waller, TX
Shift: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Potential overtime up to 4:00 AM daily)
Pay: $16.50/hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Safely transport products within the warehouse or production area.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities and perform inventory counts.
- Perform order picking using a forklift or pallet jack.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience operating a lift truck, preferably with mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, such as pallet jacks and hi-lo machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced environment.
