Job Description

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience of Linux software development including architecture, design specification, coding, testing, support, etc.
  • Multi-threaded and multi-processor system development using Linux platforms
  • Embedded systems development (ARM or x86-based) using Linux platforms
  • Experience building and configuring Ubuntu-based and RedHat-like Linux distributions, as well as developing, porting, and integrating Linux device drivers
  • Experience with virtualization, virtual machines, and Linux containers
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting as well as higher-level scripting languages (Python)
  • Experience with real-time, embedded, multithreaded applications
  • Experience with VoIP, telephony configuration and Asterisk VoIP server
  • Proficiency operating in Linux-based Operating Systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, Suse, etc.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL database administration
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and OCI containers, Ansible, and related technologies
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with advanced Linux technologies (at least two of the following: Linux Virtualization, Clustering (Linux-HA and RHCS preferred), Network/Kernel Performance Tuning, Enterprise Storage (SAN, iSCSI, DRBD, GFS2, etc.), OpenStack, OpenVPN, Samba4 or Kubernetes)
  • 2+ years of hands-on, command-line, advanced Asterisk experience (version 11+). This includes compiling, working with modules, custom dial plans, SIP/IAX2 trunking configuration, troubleshooting SIP/IAX2/RTP issues, utilizing Asterisk debugging tools, and other advanced skills
  • 2+ years of TCP/IP Networking Experience (switching, routing, sub-netting, Linux network configuration, Power over Ethernet)
  • 2+ years of scripting experience (Bash shell and PHP or Python)
  • Hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab
  • Experience with Android 6.0+ and ADB will be advantageous
Experience with Java and .Net development will be a plus
